Keeping the emergency manual safe
As explained in Chapter 1 of the book, BEING PREPARED, the term “manual” is used generically. That is, your EMERGENCY EVENT MANUAL may be in the book, or it may be saved in a notebook, folder or electronic file. The manual itself and the information contained in the manual may all be in one place or stored in several places depending on its level or sensitivity (security) and depending on the person who is to use the information. Where do you store sensitive information that would be availble for use by your helper during an emergency?

Purpose
This Blog is a companion to the American Bar Association Book, Being Prepared: A Lawyer's Manual for Reaction and Recovery from Unexpected Casulty or Disability. When you start creating a plan for every small law office in every situation the “to-do” lists multiply. When you start to research what could happen, the ethical issues become complex. The challenge was to produce a work that is “plastic” enough to mold to anyone’s situation yet concise enough to be doable by a single busy lawyer. What are your issues?
